MÜV Reserve Flower – A Tier Of Its Own

By Danyal Swan January 20, 2022

Cultivating cannabis is like creating art. The canvas is the soil that houses the plant, layers of color added in the form of nutrients and watering, and brushstrokes created with each touch of a cultivator's hands.

MÜV Cultivators have produced stunning works of art in the forms of Sour Jack, Modified Grapes, Guru, and so many more – but nothing like Reserve.

Reserve Cannabis Flower

Reserve Flower stands alone from tiered flower, as it is a tier of its own.

Each Reserve strain, with the exception of our first, M.A.C. 1, was rigorously phenohunted in the MÜV Cultivation and hand-selected out of 70+ strains for this exclusive line. These genetics are what cultivators seek in flower – unique structures, dense trichome production, and high potency – and ones that you can’t just walk by in a flower room. You have to stop and stare to fully admire each piece of the plant.

Each plant is cared for exclusively by hand: hand-watered to maintain ideal moisture levels, hand-trimmed to preserve trichomes, and extensively cured in airtight containers to protect terpenes and ensure even distribution of moisture in each bud. Because of the extensive care they receive, Reserve cultivars are grown in limited quantities.

In this way, Reserve truly means reserve. If you spot these highly coveted genetics online, it’s best to reserve them for express-order pickup or delivery to ensure you get a taste!

And, premium genetics deserve premium packaging, featured in sleek, matte white glass jars.

What Is Phenohunting?

Cannabis phenohunting is the act of growing strains to examine their characteristics.

When male and female cannabis plants are crossed, the female will produce seeds. Each seed is a different phenotype – they come from the same parent plants and have the same genealogy, but may present slightly different features, much like siblings. Phenohunting is the act of growing these seeds to determine which pheno best meets the desires of the Cultivators to produce on a large scale.

What Does Reserve Flower Occur In?

Reserve Flower can be purchased in 1/8th matte white, glass jars, or in Reserve 5-Pack Pre-roll tins. The Short Stack Pack, as it is lovingly referred to, is the easiest way to consume an 1/8th of flower. The strains are what really matter, though.

Meet The Reserve Cannabis Strains: Confetti Kush Cake

If the name Confetti Kush Cake alone isn’t enough to pique your interest, its parent genetics might be.

Confetti Kush Cake was crafted by crossing Gelato and Birthday Cake, also known as Birthday Cake Kush. The result is a powerhouse cultivar with notes of gas and skunk, thanks to Gelato, and sweet dough, lent by Birthday Cake, and terpenes:

Limonene, a citrus scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-epileptic, and anxiolytic properties.

Caryophyllene, a woody, peppery smelling terpene with reported analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and sedating effects.

Linalool, a floral-scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-epileptic, and anxiolytic benefits.

Pinene is a pine-scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.

The bud is deep in color and features purple and orange amidst highly frosted leaves. Confetti Kush Cake shares a parent with another Reserve cultivar – Root Beer Cream Cake.

Meet The Reserve Cannabis Strains: Root Beer Cream Cake

Birthday Cake and Root Beer Float are the basis of one of the sweetest cultivars in Florida.

Root Beer Cream Cake somehow smells like root beer? Perhaps that’s the placebo effect of sorts. Regardless, Root Beer Cream Cake is a smell you could only dream of. Intensely sweet notes emanate from the bud and culminate to a doughy finish, making the strain feel like dessert after a day’s work. These flavors are dictated by abundant terpenes:

Caryophyllene, a woody, peppery smelling terpene with reported analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and sedating effects.

Myrcene, an herbal-scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and sedating properties.

Limonene, a citrus scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-epileptic, and anxiolytic properties.

Linalool, a floral-scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-epileptic, and anxiolytic benefits.

Root Beer Cream Cake brings balanced effects to consumers, making it an anytime-of-day cultivar. The same cannot be said for Grape Noir.

Meet The Reserve Cannabis Strains: Grape Noir

Grape Noir is a standout sedating strain.

Crafted by crossing Grape Pie with GMO, Grape Noir is a green spectacle, with soft and deep hues, made prominent with dense trichomes, golden pistils and tinges of purple-black. The scent of the cultivar hits you as soon as you crack open the glass jar – skunky and earthy, likely lent by GMO, and finishes with soft, sweet notes, with terpenes including:

Myrcene, an herbal-scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and sedating properties.

Caryophyllene, a woody, peppery smelling terpene with reported analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and sedating effects.

Limonene, a citrus scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-epileptic, and anxiolytic properties.

Linalool, a floral-scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-epileptic, and anxiolytic benefits.

Humulene, a woody-scented terpene with reported analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

The terpenes compound to deeply relaxing effects ideal for post-work medicating. Apple Juice, on the other hand, is immensely uplifting.

Meet The Reserve Cannabis Strains: Apple Juice

If sweet-tasting cultivars are your forte, Apple Juice, a cross of Sour Apple and Triple Kush, should be top of your Reserve list.

Bright green hues steal the show of this nug, with splashes of deep-green purple. The trichomes, though, are what's to truly be admired - frosty, prominent, and coating every piece of the bud. The flower is dense and sticky, with sweet notes and underlying hints of fruit and earth, thanks to terpenes:

Myrcene, an herbal-scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and sedating properties.

Limonene, a citrus scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-epileptic, and anxiolytic properties.

Caryophyllene, a woody, peppery smelling terpene with reported analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and sedating effects.

Pinene, is a pine-scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Apple Juice lends euphoric effects and is an exciting addition to the Reserve line.

Meet The Reserve Cannabis Strains: Beach Cake

There is nothing more quintessentially Florida than the beach - the sand, the sea, the sun. All of this is captured in the cultivar Beach Cake, as it should be - it's a cross of two Florida-created genetics, Florida Cake and Triangle Kush.

Before breaking up nugs of Beach Cake, the strain has to be admired. The way its trichomes stick to your fingers. And its colors, bright green hues, with standout purple - a purple so deep, it almost looks black. And its scent - deep earth with notes of citrus, leant from terpenes:

Limonene, a citrus scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-epileptic, and anxiolytic properties.

Caryophyllene, a woody, peppery smelling terpene with reported analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and sedating effects.

Linalool, a floral-scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-epileptic, and anxiolytic benefits.

Humulene, a woody-scented terpene with reported analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Beach Cake truly lends a balance of uplifting effects that fade to relaxation and is sure to be a staple in medicine cabinets throughout Florida.

Meet The Reserve Cannabis Strains: M.A.C. 1

While not phenohunted by MÜV, M.A.C. 1 had to be included in Reserve, according to Marina Mikkelsen, Director of Cultivation. The strain was created by crossing Alien Cookies F2 with Miracle 15, creating Miracle Alien Cookies 1.

“M.A.C. 1 is the first strain in Reserve and a very special genetic,” said Marina Mikkelsen, Director of Cultivation. “The first time I saw it in flower, I did a double take. The plant was so densely covered in trichomes, it looked silver! Its scent, its terpenes, its structure – it’s everything cultivators look for in a plant.”

Its scent and effects, too, are much desired by MÜV Cultivators.

What Does M.A.C. 1 Smell And Taste Like?

“M.A.C. 1 definitely has a lot of pine in it. You get a little bit of that doughy smell that kind of is characteristic of wedding cake...Overall I'd say it's a pine, creamy kind of scent,” says Marina.

Mitch Tipton, Verano Vice President of Cultivation, too smells a significant amount of pine in M.A.C. 1, with hints of lemon, reminiscent of grandma’s freshly cleaned kitchen.

Consuming M.A.C. 1 is a thoroughly pleasant experience. The flower lends smooth draws with creamy, lemon notes.

What Are The Effects Of M.A.C. 1?

The effects of cannabis strains vary from person to person, though Mitch and Marina feel that M.A.C. 1 provides overall balanced effects.

Marina describes M.A.C. 1 as definitely packing a punch, but not one that will make you fall asleep. Instead, “it will definitely give you some fantastic cerebral effects.”

“I really can be energetic and want to get out on a kayak or go for a jog,” Mitch said. “You know, just get outdoors, but I can also relax. It definitely won't put you down, so I would not recommend it if you're looking for something for sleep. It'll relax you, but it keeps your mind going. It's creative, at least for me.”

What Is The Terpene Profile Of M.A.C. 1?

Did you know terpene profiles are what lend the scent and effects of cannabis strains? M.A.C. 1 has a variety of terpenes with varying effects. The top include:

Limonene, a citrus scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-epileptic, and anxiolytic properties.

Caryophyllene, a woody, peppery smelling terpene with reported analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and sedating effects.

Linalool, a floral-scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-epileptic, and anxiolytic benefits.

Bisabolol, a floral-scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-itch, and anti-microbial properties.

Myrcene, an herbal-scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and sedating properties.

Pinene, is a pine-scented terpene with reported analgesic, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.

M.A.C. 1’s high levels of stimulating limonene and the addition of sedating myrcene and caryophyllene blend to what’s described as an even hybrid.
