Cannabis is a fascinating plant. It has shown potential in easing a wide variety of ailments and symptoms, and depending on the strain, sparks creativity and energy, or relaxing and sleepy effects. Current estimates on the number of marijuana strains vary widely, but it’s safe to say it’s in the hundreds, if not thousands.

Let’s pause and think about that – potentially thousands of genetics, each one expressing their own unique characteristics inherited from their parent strains.

While MÜV does not cultivate thousands of genetics, our 220,000 square foot facility produces only top-quality strains. From strains high in limonene for uplifting effects to those containing heavy levels of myrcene for sedating effects, at MÜV, there is a strain for all needs.

Before we dive into the goods, it’s worth noting what sets the MÜV Cultivation Facility apart from others. To us, it is our on-site lab.

The MÜV Cultivation and Lab

At MÜV, cultivating cannabis goes hand in hand with science. We seek to understand the plant as thoroughly as possible, which includes rigorous testing of the plant during each stage of its life cycle – clone, vegetation, flower, and harvest.

Terpene and cannabinoid content are thoroughly monitored during each step of the process. And, too, the laboratory experts can identify nutrients a strain may be lacking in to give it a little more pep in its step. There is something to be said that all tests can be run by walking through the facility to the on-site lab, instead of relying solely on independent testing.

Is Indica/Sativa/Hybrid Tracked?

Although the label of indica, sativa, or hybrid cannabis is outdated due to the intense crossing of strains over the years, MÜV does keep track of this identifier as it is what patients are most used to when identifying the effects they seek. While this label and THC percentage are what most patients inquire about when selecting a marijuana strain, don’t discount the strain’s terpene profile!

Many believe that terpenes are what truly drive the strain-specific effects encompassed by the indica, sativa, hybrid labels. Read more about why you should shop for more than just THC percentage or indica, sativa, hybrid here.

Thank You, Patient Pioneers

Tracking cannabis strains is of the utmost importance. Due to the DEA’s current labeling of the plant as a Schedule 1 Drug, sound research is few and far between. MÜV Dispensaries partnered with Strainprint for this exact reason.

Thanks to our Patient Pioneers, we are able to fully appreciate the power of cannabis as medicine. The real-time tracking of medication sessions has shown invaluable insights into MÜV Products. With their help, we can recommend specific products that help alleviate muscle pain, or strains that help quell anxiety.  This data, this research, is of the utmost importance in legitimizing cannabis as medicine to nay-sayers.

If you know a Patient Pioneer, make sure to thank them for helping further cannabis research. If you’re not learning about your symptom management with the Strainprint app, but would like to, head here for more details.
