What is G Pen GIO Ceramic?

By Danyal Swan January 21, 2022

Adaptability. It’s a trait that is crucial to the cannabis industry and must be an intrinsic value to cannabis companies.

MÜV holds the attribute in the highest regard. Through continual Research and Development combined with patient feedback, MÜV has perfected the Transdermal Patch, created MÜV Püre, and added MÜV EnCaps cannabis capsules to our robust product lineup. We hold other brands to the same values – and G Pen has delivered.

Updates To The GIO Cartridge

G Pen Gio Cannabis Vape Pod

G Pen hit the ground running in 2012, bringing the first tank system to house “essential fluids” to market. The brand, owned by parent company Grenco Sciences, has continued to innovate since its inception, updating their round batteries to bring the ergonomic, sleek, and (dare we say) attractive G Pen GIO to market (read more about GIO strains and battery specifications in our previous feature here).

This innovation would be nowhere without patient feedback. Says G Pen:

"The Grenco Science team listened to customer feedback and worked to improve the GIO cartridge's heating, airflow, materials and ease of use. We are proud to finally bring the new ceramic and wickless GIO cartridge to market."

As described in our recent feature of MÜV All-in-One, the update to ceramic highly improves the flavor profile of the cannabis strain consumed, and the removal of the more traditional cotton wick eliminates the risk of a burnt-tasting hit (looking at you, long drawers). The result is uncompromised flavor, in the easy-to-use pod-based system you love about the GIO.

How GIO Compares To Dart

One of the biggest questions asked regarding vape devices is how G Pen compares to CCELL. While both are reputable brands, there are some differences between the GIO and Dart:

  • Shape. The shape of pods and batteries are arguably the largest differentiator. While both were designed with discretion in mind, the Dart slips into pockets with a flat appearance as opposed to round and bulky.
  • Vapor. The Dart was crafted to produce a whopping 10-20% more vapor than competitor vapes, ideal for those who prefer large vapor clouds.
  • Battery. The output of the G Pen GIO is 180mAh, whereas the Dart is an impressive 480mAh, resulting in the ability to hold a charge longer and provide more vapor per dose.

Ultimately, systems boil down to personal preference - the pod or cartridge that houses distillate for vaping can alter the flavor profile of the vapor slightly, which plays a large role.
