How to Have a Romantic, Cannabis-Themed Valentine’s Day

By Danyal Swan September 25, 2021

Cannabis and Valentine’s Day go hand-in-hand, or should we say heart to heart. Whether you want to spend the holiday lounging beside your sweetheart or give them a unique experience with a cannabis-infused dinner, there are countless ways you can create a romantic date centered around love.

It’s a common belief that cannabis and romance don’t mix. But the truth is, pairing food, entertainment and love with cannabis makes for one romantic night. The clock is winding down toward Valentine’s Day, and couples are scrambling to find the perfect way to celebrate in a covid-conscious setting. Romantic dinners are hot on our list of favorites, but we decided to take it up a notch and share our favorite ideas on how you can include cannabis in your celebrations this year!

7 Ideas for a Cannabis-Themed Valentine’s Day

Are you and your partner both medical marijuana patients? Here are some great ways you can include cannabis in your date plans.

1. Serve your Valentine Breakfast in Bed

Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day, but some might even argue it’s the most romantic, especially when served in bed! Make a batch of cannabutter in advance, then use it to cook your significant other a vacation-worthy breakfast to show your love and appreciation. Infusing not your thing? Try adding a dose of RSO right on top of the last bite of their meal. From waffles to omelets and everything in between, a cannabis-infused breakfast is the best way to start your day!

Bonus points if you use this cannabis leaf design Waffleye Waffle Maker. Talk about a great way to wake and bake!

2. Get High and Go on a Nature Walk

Nothing is more fun than smoking with your partner and going on a hike or nature stroll. Grab your favorite strain, smoke a bowl and head outdoors. Whether you’re a city slicker or a rural stoner, there are plenty of nature walks where you can walk hand-in-hand with your partner and take in the sounds, sights, feelings and flora that surround you.

3. Watch a Stoner Classic

If you prefer to relax rather than trekking around outside, spend the holiday watching classic stoner movies instead. Drizzle cannabis butter over a bowl of freshly popped popcorn, cuddle up with your Valentine and queue up a cannabis-fueled comedy like Friday, Super Troopers, or Pineapple Express. Watch True Romance for a mix of comedy and romance (as well as a young Brad Pitt smoking a bowl from aplastic honey bear) or check out IdleHands if you like your comedy with a horror twist.

4. Share a Pot of Cannabis Tea

Avoid the hangover by brewing up a pot of cannabis tea rather than uncorking a bottle of Malbec. While you can use ground flower or cannabis butter to make tea, employing Distillate during the brewing process is the simplest, easiest method.

Here is a simple High Chai Tea Recipe you can try:

Step 1: Boil one cup of water and one chai tea bag in a small pan

Step 2: Reduce heat to simmer for 10 minutes

Step 3: When the mixture has reduced by half, remove the tea bag, and add one dose of cannabis distillate and milk, honey, or sugar.

Step 4: Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring occasionally, remove from heat, pour your tea into a mug, and enjoy!

5. Treat Your Significant Other to a Cannabis Massage

Everyone loves a massage, especially on a holiday dedicated to love and affection. Use a cannabis-infused topical like our Hydrating Lotion, featuring shea butter, vitamin E, and antioxidants for a moisturizing, soothing massage that will make your partner feel like they’ve spent a day at the spa, even if you aren’t known for giving the best massages.

6. Give Your Valentine a Homemade Cannabis-Themed Card

Anyone can go to the store and grab a card from the shelf. Taking the time to make a greeting card personally lets your partner know just how special they are to you! If your sweetheart loves marijuana as much as you do, why not make them a marijuana-themed card?

Here are some funny and cute sayings you can use:

  • High love you.
  • You’re the fire to my bowl.
  • Cannabe your Valentine?
  • The perfect match to my smokey stash.
  • Your love is my drug.
  • Weed be dope together.
  • Girls just want flowers.
  • Would doobie mine?
  • You’re my stoney soulmate.
  • Have a highly enjoy-a-bowl Valentine’s Day.
  • ‘Juana Be My Valentine?
  • You’re my favorite pothead.
  • Our love is a joint effort.
  • Nugs and kisses.
  • I always knew weed be great together.
  • Love is a joint effort.
  • All I weed is you!
  • Your love gets me high.
  • Let’s smoke weed together for the rest of our lives.
  • Roses are red, violets are blue, weed is dope and so are you.

If you are a beginning card maker, here are a few quick card making tips and tricks:

  • Start by picking a theme and color pallet

The key with card making is to be an artist. The art part can come in many forms. For example, you could use paint, or stamps for embellishments, color withchalk, add leather and lace, or even a photo on the front inside of the card.

  • Try an alternative paper source

Using gift bags, wrapping paper or other unconventional sources will help you step away from the usual card making supplies and actually think out of the box for your next card creation.

Gift bags are often made from a heavier weight of paper that, turns out, is just the right weight for card making. All you have to do is unfold the bags and cut out the shapes you need. Just make sure to avoid the creased lines.

  • Create rounded corners instead of square

Instead of creating the traditional squared off corners, try rounding them off for a more modern shape. If you’re feeling super artsy, you can even cut the card into a heart or a marijuana leaf.

7. Skip the Booze for a Marijuana Mocktail

Encapsulation technology renders MÜV Cannabis Tincture water-soluble

Making a drink for your significant other is a personal, intimate way to show your love. This year skip the hangover headache and sub the alcohol for encapsulated Cannabis Tincture (note: Tincture does contain trace amounts of alcohol)! Pour your heart into the glass with a Mary J Shirley:

Step 1: Fill a glass with ice and pour a splash of grenadine

Step 2: Top the grenadine with your lover’s favorite lemon-lime soda

Step 3: Add a dose of Cannabis Tincture and stir until combined

Or, if you want to highlight the soft peppermint flavor, a marijuana mojito:

Step 1: In a glass, muddle together a few tablespoons of fresh lime juice and 8-12 fresh mint leaves

Step 2: Add simple syrup, agave or 1-2 tablespoons sugar to lime and mint, combine

Step 3: Top mixture with ice and club soda

Step 4: Add a dose of Cannabis Tincture and stir until combined; garnish with a lime wedge if desired
