Everything But the Bagel Medicated Pigs in a Blanket

Cannabis Pigs in a Blanket

Prep Time: 35 minYield 24 pigs in a blanket
Pigs in a blanket are a staple for football get-togethers, especially the big game. For the 49ers vs. Chiefs, level up the flavor with everything but the bagel season, and add a delightful dose of cannabutter. Ingredients
  • 1 package of cocktail franks/mini hot dogs (about 14 oz)
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dough or puff pastry
  • 2 T cream cheese (optional, for added flavor)
  • Melted cannabutter
  • 2 T everything bagel seasoning (you can buy this pre-made or make your own by mixing equal parts sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried garlic flakes, dried onion flakes, and sea salt)

Instructions
  1. Start by preheating your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.
  2. Roll out the crescent dough or puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. If using crescent dough, press the perforations to seal them together. Cut the dough into strips about 1 inch wide and 2 to 3 inches long, depending on the size of your cocktail franks.
  3. If you're using cream cheese for extra flavor, spread a thin layer on each strip of dough.
  4. Wrap each cocktail frank in a strip of dough, spiraling it around. The dough should overlap slightly to ensure it stays in place during baking. Make sure to leave the ends of the franks exposed.
  5. Brush the melted cannabutter over the wrapped franks. This will help the everything bagel seasoning stick and give the dough a nice golden color.
  6. Sprinkle the everything bagel seasoning generously over the egg-washed dough. Be sure to cover them well for that authentic bagel flavor.
  7. Place the prepared pigs in a blanket on the baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Enjoy warm with your favorite condiment!

Marijuana Pizza Dip

Prep Time: 30 minYield 8-10 servings
Pizza and the Big Game go together like cannabis carts and batteries. Instead of splurging (and waiting) on a pie to be delivered or going the extra mile to make homemade, go for medicated pizza dip instead. Ingredients For the Base Layer:
  • 8 oz cannabis-infused cream cheese, softened
  • 1 t Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 t garlic powder
  • 1/2 t red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
  • For the Pizza Sauce Layer:
  • 1 c pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  For the Cheese Layer:
  • 2 c shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 c shredded provolone cheese (or additional mozzarella)
  For the Toppings:
  • 1/2 c mini pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 c sliced black olives
  • 1/4 c diced green bell pepper
1/4 c diced onion (optional) For Serving:
  • Baguette slices, toasted Tortilla chips
  • Vegetable sticks (carrots, celery, bell peppers)

Instructions
  1. Start by infusing your cream cheese. Lightly heat cannabis distillate or RSO (by placing your syringe or Dablicator™ into a bowl of warm water, or by holding in the crook of your elbow for 1 min). Combine your desired dose in a medium bowl, beating together well for about 3-5 minutes to ensure thorough incorporation.
  2. In the same bowl, mix in Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish or a similar sized oven-proof skillet.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Mix the shredded mozzarella and provolone cheeses together and sprinkle them evenly over the pizza sauce layer.
  5. Sprinkle the mini pepperoni, black olives, green bell pepper, and onion over the cheese layer. Feel free to customize the toppings according to your preference.
  6. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges are slightly golden brown.
  7. Carefully remove the dip from the oven (the dish will be hot) and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Eat warm with toasted baguette slices, tortilla chips, and vegetable sticks for dipping.

Ham, Cheese, and Cannabis Pinwheels

Prep Time: 30-35 minYield 16-20 pinwheels
These aren't your average pinwheels. Enjoy the 49ers and Chiefs showdown with puff pastry pinwheels – a warm, fluffy alternative to the usual tortilla carb base. Instructions
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed (usually about 8 to 10 oz) 3/4 c Dijon mustard or honey mustard, for spreading (adjust to taste) 1 c grated cheese (Swiss, cheddar, or a blend of your favorites) 8 oz thinly sliced deli ham 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Melted cannabutter (for brushing) Optional: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or grated Parmesan for topping

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle, about 12x9 inches. Try to keep the thickness uniform.
  3. Spread the mustard evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small margin at the edges. This will help to flavor the pinwheels and keep them moist.
  4. Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the mustard. Then, lay out the ham slices over the cheese, covering the entire surface.
  5. Starting from one of the long sides, roll the puff pastry tightly into a log. Press gently to seal the edge. You can use a little bit of the beaten egg as "glue" if needed.
  6. For cleaner cuts, you can chill the rolled pastry in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes. This step is optional but recommended.
  7. Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into pieces approximately 1 inch thick. You should get around 12 pinwheels from a standard puff pastry sheet.
  8. Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Press down gently to ensure they don't roll away.
  9. Brush the tops of the pinwheels lightly with the beaten egg. This will give them a golden, shiny finish. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or grated Parmesan on top for extra flavor and texture.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pinwheels are puffed up and golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven, then brush with cannabutter.
  12. Let the pinwheels cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before eating. They are best served warm but are also delicious at room temperature.

Pickle Rollups

Prep Time: 15 minYield 20 rollups
Get a taste of the Midwest with cannabis-infused pickle rollups. The sour pickle paired with creamy cannabis cream cheese and salted ham makes for a great addition to the Big Game viewing. Ingredients:
  • 8 to 10 slices of deli ham (thinly sliced)
  • 1 package (8 oz) cannabis cream cheese, softened
  • 1 T ranch seasoning mix (optional, to mix with cream cheese for added flavor)
  • 5 to 6 dill pickles (medium size), patted dry
  • Toothpicks (for serving)

Instructions:
  • Start by infusing your cream cheese.
  • In the same bowl, combine the cannabis cream cheese with the ranch seasoning mix (if using) until well blended. The addition of ranch seasoning adds a flavorful twist, but you can keep the cream cheese plain if you prefer.
  • Lay out a slice of ham on a clean, flat surface.
  • Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the ham slice. The cream cheese acts as glue, helping to hold the roll-up together.
  • Place a whole dill pickle at one end of the ham slice. If the pickles are particularly large, you may slice them in half lengthwise.
  • Carefully roll the ham around the pickle, starting from the end with the pickle. Roll it tightly enough to ensure it stays together but not so tight that the cream cheese squeezes out.
  • For easier slicing, you can chill the ham and pickle rolls in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. This step is optional but can make the roll-ups easier to handle and cut.
  • Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into bite-sized pieces, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Wipe the knife clean between slices to ensure clean cuts.
  • Insert toothpicks into each rollup for easy eating, and enjoy!
