What Are Some Fun Things to Do in Tamarac?
Tamarac is a South Florida dream – minutes from the ocean, borders the Everglades National Preserve, and local restaurants galore. Some Cannabis Advisors’ favorites include:
Xtreme Action Park. As one of the largest event venues in Florida, Xtreme Action Park is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Xtreme Action Park is truly action-packed with go-karts, arcade games, bowling, escape rooms, laser tag, roller skating, ropes courses and more. You sure can work up an appetite with all those things to do! With an on-site restaurant and bar, they have got you covered.
Ollie Olive. Owned and operated exclusively by women, Ollie Olive is a casual pizza restaurant located only 2.5 miles from MÜV Tamarac. Everything is made to order and prepared with fresh ingredients. Dough made from scratch and pizza sauce made from real tomatoes daily is one of the ways Ollie Olive stands out from the crowd. With a menu that has not only pizza but calzones, salad, subs, pasta, and wings, there is a bite to hit the spot every time.
Butterfly World. Butterfly World opened in 1988 as the first butterfly house in America and the largest in the world. Vigilant in his research and passionate about education, Ronald Boender, the founder of Butterfly World, and the Butterfly World team created the “Bring Back the Butterflies” campaign. Bring Back gives away free information specific to different regions showcasing the many ways people can help bring back the beautiful winged insects across the U.S. The butterfly house features several butterfly gardens, aviaries, a butterfly museum, a bug zoo, and arguably the most interesting exhibit - the laboratory that showcases the beauty of metamorphosis behind glass windows for visitors to witness.
Flamingo Gardens. A large everglade preservation area, the Flamingo Gardens was founded by Floyd L. and Jane Wray in 1927. The sanctuary is a non-profit aiming to preserve the Florida everglades history and educate the public about ecological preservations. The Botanical Gardens and Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary has habitats with crocodiles, black bears, otters, panthers, bobcats, several aviaries, a flamingo pond, and a turtle walk for a full days’ worth of animal-friendly enjoyment. Animals aren’t the only way to enjoy Flamingo Gardens, as the preservation is host to State Champion Trees, trees that are the largest of their species – a total of over 3,000 tropical and sub-tropical trees call the gardens home.
