What Are Some Fun Things To Do in Bradenton?
Bradenton isn’t known as “The Friendly City” for nothing. The city feels like a community where everyone knows everyone, and each local is eager to share their favorite spots. Some of MÜV Bradenton’s MedTenders include:
The Village of the Arts. This eclectic neighborhood is made up of historic Florida homes built in the early 1900s, all vibrantly painted to create a truly immersive experience. The Village of the Arts is the perfect spot to take a yoga class, grab a bite to eat, or find the next collectible to add to your collection. Be sure to check out their art walks, which take place the first Friday and Saturday of each month.
Lake Manatee State Park. Located on namesake Lake Manatee, the park has no shortage of things to do. It’s a hot spot for hiking and biking, thanks to its 4+ miles of trails, and kayaking and canoeing are highly encouraged. For those who prefer to spend their time outdoors on the golf course, Heritage Harbor Golf Club is located right behind the dispensary!
The Food. Bradenton is a hub for good eats and drinks, like Motorworks Brewing, the first craft brewery in Bradenton. The local favorite has in-house food, but also brings food trucks of fares of all kinds on site. There is plenty of seating, as Motorworks is Florida’s largest beer garden, with picnic tables surrounding a 150-year-old oak tree often adorned with string lights.
Pizza lovers are highly encouraged to visit Oak and Stone, a local chain. With pizzas like the Winger (buffalo chicken tenders, spicy aioli, ranch and bleu cheese) and the Popeye (ricotta, prosciutto, garlic spinach and pizza sauce), the self-serve beer wall (swipe your band and it tracks your pints) and the 8th floor rooftop patio offering sweeping views of the Manatee River, the restaurant is a can’t-miss.
Birdrock Taco Shack is a taco lover’s haven. Located in the heart of the Village of the Arts, Birdrock should be described as part-restaurant, part-gallery. Artwork adorns every wall, railings are made of skateboard decks, and each taco itself is a work of art. With options like Pekin Duck Kung Pao, Pan-Seared Mahi Mahi and Thai Pork Belly, you won’t be able to eat just one!
