Hurricane Idalia Severe Weather Updates

By Danyal Swan September 1, 2023

Updated September 1, 10:54 AM EST to reflect the storm's impact.

The first hurricane to impact Florida this season, Hurricane Idalia, made landfall on August 30. Our first priority was to you, our patients, and our staff, ensuring a safe experience at all times amidst this severe weather.

Throughout the storm's progress, we monitored its course through local and national news and announced dispensary closures as needed, with this blog acting as the source for updates, in addition to local dispensary pages.

We are incredibly thankful you're safe, MÜVers.

MÜV Cultivation and Dispensaries

Apollo Beach, home to our primary cultivation and production site, came out of the storm unscathed. All operations continued seamlessly and safely throughout the storm's landfall. In addition, Hurricane Idalia made no lasting impact on our MÜV Dispensaries. The stores listed below were closed early and opened late to ensure the safety of you, our patients, and our staff.

We are incredibly thankful that all remained safe throughout the storm, and that we could continue serving you with the medication and support you need with only a small delay.

Get Prepared for Hurricane Season

Make sure you are prepared for the uncertainty tropical storms and hurricanes bring by having a supply of:

  • Flashlights and candles
  • Battery operated or hand crank radio
  • Drinking water
  • Nonperishable food
  • Extra batteries
  • First aid kit

Some important resources to keep in mind:

  • Check your Emergency Supply Kit and fill any missing pieces
  • Know your Evacuation Route, should the need to evacuate arise
  • Download the American Red Cross’s Hurricane Preparedness app, a robust hurricane informational hub

Please have a plan in place, follow your local news, and above all else, be safe, MÜVers.
